Honors and Awards

MASBA believes there are many heroes who have stepped up to assure all the children of Texas get a proper and equitable education. Each year, we honor several of these outstanding individuals with the “Molcajete” award. This year we honor Hidalgo ISD, the 2009 Molcajete recipient. Superintendent Eduardo Cancino and School Board President Martin Cepeda accepted the award on behalf of the Hidalgo ISD students, teachers and board. All in attendance appreciated the presentation given by Superintendent Cancino.
